Consulting
Literature Lovers' Night Out™ is frequently in discussion with other bookstores looking to establish a similar program, or to be a host site of our branded programming.
Booksellers
Booksellers looking to develop a similar program for their store are encouraged to contact us for advice and resources. We will share a proprietary worksheet with best practices, do's and don'ts, and a tried-and-true checklist of necessary decisions to make and details to secure in order to run a successful event. The fee for this worksheet and a one-hour instructional session is $300. |
Bookstores
Regional stores interested in hosting a branded Literature Lovers' Night Out™ event will benefit from our program's history of success in the industry and its growing acclaim among local and national authors. We would develop programming, arrange transportation for authors to and from the venue, handle all venue logistics, and moderate the program. Host bookstores would be responsible for additional marketing, managing ticket sales, supplying refreshments, and managing book sales. Bookstores retain profits from book sales, while Literature Lovers' Night Out™ asks for a fee of $600 to cover travel expenses and labor. (This amount is generally paid for out of ticket sales). |
Authors
Authors interested in learning how to conduct a successful event can arrange to participate in a one-on-one session with Pamela Klinger-Horn. In this session, Pamela will cover best practices, common faux pas, how to manage expectations, and inside tips for how to excel in a variety of book event scenarios. The fee for a one-hour session is $100. Literature Lovers' Night Out™ now offers author promotion gatherings and videos specifically geared toward the trade. Learn more here. |

Special Events
In addition to our official Literature Lovers' Night Out™ programs, we also organize and host a multitude of author events and special presentations at venues outside of bookstores. We work with church organizations, community groups, support groups, local government initiatives, cooperative work venues, or anyone interested in bringing an author to speak about a specific subject.
For our special event clients, we will research authors who have books about specific topics of interest to you or your group and use our influence and goodwill within the publishing industry to arrange for the visit. We coordinate the event with the venue and oversee all logistical aspects of the event, moderate the program, and handle book sales.
